In the Philippines rice is served with every meal, so a spoon is always a necessity. I learned the art of eating with two spoons! One spoon is used to hold the rice and the second spoon is used to PUSH the rice onto the first spoon. Here in the states a piece of bread is often used to PUSH food onto a spoon or fork. I suppose many other methods could be used to accomplish the same task, but this method works BEST for me!
